Glossybox May 2014 review

During April 2014 I started a subscription to Glossybox. For anyone not aware, Glossybox is a beauty box in which you pay £10 for the box and £3.99 for the postage and packaging and you receive a box each month. The box contains 5 products as well as sometimes containing samples. I received my May Glossybox on 16th May 2014 and I thought I would do a blog about it considering I have used most of the products I have received. I have been looking through Glossybox's facebook page and have seen so many negative comments regarding the Glossybox received by people. I am extremely happy with my May Glossybox and would have been happy with receiving any of the May products.

This month, Glossybox collaborated with Superdrug to celebrate their 50th birthday. I personally absolutely love shopping in Superdrug as it is really good value for money and there are a lot of products which I enjoy.

Max Factor Facefinty All Day Primer

I was really happy to have received this product. I have been debating buying primer for a while now but I really wanted to try a sample of it first before spending a lot of money on it. This is retailed at £10.99 for 30ml which is what was received in my Glossybox so it's a full sized sample. I have used this primer every time I have applied foundation since receiving it and I absolutely love it. It does not have a very strong scent like some face make ups do. It also is easy to apply and does what it says on the bottle. It makes your foundation last the whole day whereas before I was using the primer my foundation would only last a little while and would come off really easily. It also feels extremely soft on my skin. I would highly recommend this product and will be purchasing it again.

Rimmel London Scandeleye Retro Glam Mascara

Recently I have been getting really into Rimmel London make up. A few weeks ago I bought several of their nail polishes so was really happy to find one of their products in my May glossybox. I have used it several times since getting it and it's something I would definitely consider re-purchasing. It is retailed at £6.99 for one size. The applicator is really soft and easy to use. It makes your lashes look longer and fuller and does not carry a smell unlike some mascaras I have previously used. It is something which I would really recommend to anyone looking for a really good mascara to try.

GOSH Cosmetics Velvet Touch Eyeliner

Before getting this month's Glossybox I had previously never heard of this brand of make up but it is something I would most likely re-purchase. I have yet to use this product but it looks really great. It is purple and retailed  at £4.99 for one size. I really look forward to trying this product soon.

I Love Cosmetics Strawberries & Milkshake Shimmer & Shine Lip Gloss

This product is retailed at £1.29 for 15ml and is something I look forward to repurchasing. It is something I had never tried before but it is really nice. It has a lovely smell and glides on easily, it also is not too sticky which is a plus. Colour-wise, it is a light pink shimmery colour. I don't personally use lip gloss a lot on a daily basis but when going out it is definitely something I will wear.

Superdrug Large Doughnut Ring (Black)

I would say this is probably my favourite product in this month's Glossybox. I have been using it everyday and it is really great for keeping your hair out of the way when needed. It is retailed at £3.99 in Superdrug stores and is great value for money. I originally had a medium brown doughnut ring which was £1 from Primark. I loved it to start with but it was made of faux hair which eventually began to get really uneven and caught up in my own hair which began to bother me. I absolutely adore this doughnut and would 100% repurchase it if needed.
